Become a PulsePoint Verified Responder in Allegheny County

Registered Off-Duty EMS Professionals Can Respond to Residential Cardiac Arrest Alerts

PulsePoint sends you an alert when someone nearby needs CPR. Thousands of your neighbors in Allegheny County already carry PulsePoint on their phones, but the vast majority only receive alerts for cardiac arrests in public locations.

However, nearly 2/3 of cardiac arrests happen at home. As an EMS professional you possess unique skills and training for helping a neighbor at home during a health emergency. If you are willing to respond to a cardiac arrest in your neighborhood when you are off duty, consider becoming a volunteer Verified Responder.

If you are interested, please complete the form below. Our staff will reach out to you from the Center for Cardiac Arrest Survival at the University of Pittsburgh.

There is no cost to become a Verified Responder. After providing contact information and evidence of current Pennsylvania EMS credentials (requested after submitting the form below), you will receive a link activating new features in your PulsePoint app, allowing you to receive residential CPR alerts.
